I pride myself on having access to some of the best hair available in the world. No other extensionist in Nottingham can offer hair with a lifespan as long as Hair Tech hair.

I work directly with suppliers, hand picking all of my bundles to ensure I can maintain the high standard my clients have come to expect.

Unlike branded hair, my hair does not smell of silicone, and it does not 'fluff up' after washing (this is caused by the artificial storage cuticle being removed). All of my hair is washed and tested on arrival to ensure the silkiness you get with fitting, remains throughout the lifespan of the extensions.

Why Russian Hair 

​

Russian hair is renowned for being of the highest quality in the world. Russian hair is super fine and silky, meaning that it blends perfectly with the majority of 'British' hair and stays glossy and healthy year after year!

Unlike most branded hair which passes through various processing warehouse's before arriving in the UK,  my hair comes directly from donors. Due to the unprocessed nature of this Russian hair it has a LONG lifespan. Top grade Russian hair lasts a very long time! My luxury virgin range has been known to last up to 5 years!

You will find that most wholesale hair suppliers really don't know where they source their hair, and will re-package and re-brand hair and sell it as ‘Russian’. In fact many hair suppliers who claim to sell human hair, actually stock a synthetic mix. In order for a company to label the hair '100% real human' it only actually has to contain one single human hair! The Hair industry is completely unregulated so there are no laws against this. One way to check the authenticity of true Russian hair, is to ensure it only sold in loose bundles or is tipped within the UK. I-tip extensions (the tips I make) do not even exist in Russia. All of my Russian hair arrives in the salon in loose ponytails - Untipped, single drawn and in rough colour groups. This raw state means I can control everything from colour, to length, to strand thickness and I can guarantee a perfect match. Unless an extensionist is charging a higher price to tip the extensions themselves, its highly unlikely they're using real Russian hair.

So why does Russian hair last so long? 

 

Well, many Russian people already possess natural lighter shades of hair. This means that the hair does not need to undergo heavy chemical processing to reach those lighter shades. The majority of hair sourced from other countries such as India or China, will be bleached as standard practice and then recoloured to match the colour rings provided by the suppliers. This process either completely strips the cuticle or severely damages it and therefor a new silicone cuticle is applied to give a false feeling of silkiness which soon washes off. The hair is 

then prone to dryness, matting and tangling.

 

Colour rings for Russian hair serve only as a rough tint guide as light colouring cannot be done with 100% accuracy. the hair is not harshly colours to fit the  I can then blend hair together to match your own with absolute perfection down to the individual highlights.
